Legitimacy of this watch - The Military Watch Resource

Hey,

I'm new to this forum and new to military watches in general. I am trying to learn more, especially about the WWW watches. I'm trying to discern between the real and fakes as quickly and accurately as some of the people on this website.

Can you guys tell me if or what is wrong with this watch?

apart from the hands, which are wrong

Here is mine with correct hands but like foilguy says every thing else looks OK.

How can you guys tell the hands are wrong? Also, if one was to find replacement hands, where can they be found?

because they don't look like riverrat's

Doubt you will find any Timor Hands, now if it was a Cyma i'd be able to help.........Otherwise put an ad in the PX for Timor hands

IMHO those hands are fine - just another variant. Seen them a number of times before.

Mine has hands like the Ebay one above. I reckon they are a legitimate variant.

Thanks, I've been on that website. It is very useful and resourceful. However, is there a source that is more descriptive of legitimate watches and things to look out for in fake ones?

..just by doing a search..there is tons of info if you are patient..

I think it's another variant, perhaps changed during a service interval.

Almost identical to the Timor ATP hands.
