I rather like it. The dial is a bit busy and I really dislike gold applied indices. Fixed bars are good, the bezel insert looks OK but I do wonder how it will last the test of time? I see the work of Georgey R, Mark "Ginger" T, Kev B, the Davers' brothers and Big Chris C' in this (not to mention the money chasing businessman and former SF medic named for a racing driver) I wonder if they were the ones giving advice.
If I had served God half as well as I have served the King, he would not have given me over to die in such a place as this

Remember when modding Seiko’s was all the rage? I like it too but wonder how this will affect resale..I think you’d have to work harder to find a buyer down the track compared with a stock piece..

Sorry to to intrude in to a conversation but if Rolex produced a watch like that (the Stainless version without the white gold plots), I would buy one.
I could do with out the faux circle marks or all of the text on the dial but it's an improvement on the current submariner in my opinion.

Desert tan? Why would someone need a dive watch in the desert?

If it's waterproof it's also dustproof. Fookin' sand dust gets everywhere

Totally agree. This is the Sub that I would own. I wonder what's with the somewhat goofy name -- the Swimmer Canoeist?

I wonder how hardy the rubber bezel insert would be?

At those prices it's a deal breaker , no way I'd spend that much and have no service 5 years down the line . Besides what's the resale on a Rolex that will not be serviced by Rolex ? Low I suspect
