    Default Marvin/Nivram pilot

Picked this up yesterday. Nice pattern(?) flieger. Obviously a Marvin with a nice gloss dial and unfortunately a missing crown. Anyone who can tell me more about it?

Interesting watch. Marvin was a good company and made their movements in-house for the most part. Interesting backward spelling, like Enicar/Racine. I have one Marvin watch, a rectangular dress watch, this is a cool watch. I wonder about people's obsession with polishing.

The backward spelling is so cool, thanks for that gem Dave.

That's a very nice 1930s pilots watch, and I'm guessing from the dial and handset, it dates closer to 1940 than 1935. It doesn't say on the inside caseback, but do you think it's stainless steel?

What are we going to do for a crown? You may have to find a non-working pilot to cannibalize.
