Thread: Sandy 660 question

    Default Sandy 660 question

Is the Stocker and Yale 660 (type 6 general Purpose watch) a dive rated watch? What is the depth rating on this watch? The case back says general purpose yet watch is configured as a dive watch would be, ie. rotating numbered bezel, screw back and crown etc.

Anyone know more about this watch, I would appreciate some information on what I have here.

    Thanks in advance,

The SandY 660 is part of the MIL-W-46374F spec. More info on what those specs are can be found here: http://home.earthlink.net/~exresearc...s/W46374F.html

Bob himself maintains some webspace in homage of the 660. He states that "it would make a great diver's watch" (link: http://www.broadarrow.net/sandy660.htm) so at least his opinion is that it could serve as a dive watch. I guess it depends on the depth to which you are diving...
