Default Aldo and Bezel SM 300 restoration

    Hi
Just to let you know of my disappointing experience with sending Aldo my SM 300 Bezel to Italy for restoration.
We exchanged very pleasant emails during January 2016 and I FedEx the Bezel and 250 to him for the work.
I asked for progress report during the summer of 2016 and received an automated email to say work was not completed and I again enquirered via his business web site as to when I may receive an update but I have not received any response.
I was concerned as to sending anything so precious to Italy so this is why FedEx was used at 50!
Aldo emailed he had received "lol"...
I have recently enquired as to the progress and have not received any response.
I have since requested to collect the Bezel and the 250 via FedEx and surprise surprise have not received any response.
I calculate the loss of the Bezel at 1000 unless any will sell be any thing for less.
I am more than welcome if anyone knows that he can sort out this problem.
Otherwise please take my experience into consideration before consigning bezels to Aldo the magician.
I am more than happy to be advised otherwise and be able to retrieve the Bezel restored if not for it to be returned together with the 250!

unfortunate situation but it's there now so I would suggest that it is best to sit it out and wait.

nowt else that you can really do which is going to benefit you!

I am very very pleased to report that Aldo has been in contact today and we are happy that there was some breakdown in communication somewhere along the line.
Bezel is waiting for me to courier back to U.K.
    I am really pleased.
    Will post photo when returned.

With a chocolate teapot do you start at the spout or the handle?

I recently got a bezel back from him, took around a year, and the wait was painful, but no one else can do it.

Before hand I tried my dial restorer to do it, and while it was an okay job, quick and extremely cheap, the paint came off.

So for me, it was worth the wait, as very happy with the job he's done.

For the record I am very pleased with Aldo's magic.
I am sorry the photos don't do his work to the best, taken with iPad on my kitchen table.
Sure you guys would be happy.
Any one seen right bezels for sale anywhere and if so what are they worth in the raw or done?

Would you happen to have a before picture so we can appreciate the expert restoration performed by Mr. Aldo? Thanks.
