    PX ('Post Exchange') is the term the US military used (uses?) for their on-base shops for the servicemen. That's why the for sale forum is called PX.

    Back in the 1960's, while stationed in Germany, we all used to travel down the road to Zweibrucken to get tax free items from the Canadian PX which always seemed to have a better selection than the US PX's. Later Zweibrucken became a US Air Force base.
