Very nice collection and quite rare to have one example from 1953.

I was wondering why you do not want to have a correct sweep second hand on that model? I have one if you are interested.

Ah, the '53 was owned by at least a couple of MWR members before me. I believe it was serviced in Le Sentier where that sweep second hand (and JL signed crown) was installed. It doesn't really bother me, BUT if you have a correct vintage sweep second available I would most definitely be interested.

    Can you PM the details?

Very nice! The G.6B/346, is a particularly rare variant.

I still can't decide which I like better - the JLC or IWC. The one on the right reminds me very much of the RAAF piece I once had and seeing three excellent examples laid out like that is 3x the more classic look..

    Thanks fellas.

@Lambstew, I decided long ago that I preferred the JLC Mark 11 to the IWC Mark 11. To me it has a sort of "X Factor" combination of quality, rarity, and exclusive military background. Just personal preference and to protect my wallet.

Why is this variant particularly rare? I also have one and it has the exact same second hand as Reintitan's. Must have been serviced at JLC as well.

I believe that the estimated production is 420 units for the original batch..

Great looking watches Ian and Reintitan. Here are mine. The one on the right is a new addition. It needed some real attention, but thanks to Ilja and John Senior its back to its original state. Always amazes me to see before/after photos. Thanks Gents!

Are your crowns like these, I bought from a box full of WWW crowns (thousands), I've had years, and always wondered what they where off. They look like your MK 11 JLC crowns.

    Are they?

Hard to say for sure, but they definitely look the part. Maybe someone with more experience working on these can confirm. If they are I know at least one person who'd be interested in one of them. I couldn't believe my luck locating one, so I imagine there are others in the same boat.
