    Reminds me of Freedom Group...

    "The brand name Smith & Wesson will remain for its firearms products, operating as Smith & Wesson Corp."

    At least the next S&W I buy won't have "American Outdoor Brands Corp.," along the frame or barrel.

    For a time, Smith & Wesson was owned by Bangor Punta a conglomerate of an American railroad co and a defunct Cuban sugar/railroad company. The name S&W remains unchanged.

    Doesn't seem stupid. Nothing will change for the firearms division. Just putting a name to cover all the diverse divisions (Crimson Trace, Taylor Brands, Battenfeld Technologies, Hooyman Saws, PowerTech, and UST brands).
