Beeautiful! One of my favorite dials in one of my favorite US military cases. Never seen that case without an Illinois movement. Is that movement the Elgin 7 jewel?

    Enjoy that watch, Joe.

Absolutely fantastic - one day I'd love to own just such a watch. Thanks for sharing it here with us.

    Kind regards,

Default Ah, but his one is not mine...

It belongs to a friend of mine. I traded him one years ago and he "got the fever..." a type of horological dementia.

Default Joe..I'm getting really bored with your constant barage of Depolliers..

..one after the other and on and on.. I mean, GET A LIFE! Don't you collect anything else??

Let's see something a bit different for a change..

    Cheers!

As a native Texan, I wish to "warn" you of men who say they are "simple" and "just a slow-talking Texan". They are, in fact, smart as hell and sly as a fox. My tongue-in-cheek, two cents worth.

Joe--you have some amazing watches and obviously a whole lot of luck. Please keep 'em coming. I drool all over my keyboard when I see them.

Default Nope, belongs to a pal who has trouble uploading pictures...

so he asked me to post 'em for him. Just being a good horological citizen, plus I had not seen one with a Waltham movement. I have only seen them with Illinois and Elgin movements.

    Oooh!

This one still has the gold disk!

The ones that I've seen recently had the disk pried off unfortunately.

This is the 3rd version of the Depollier waterproof case from June 1919.

Two other designs existed before this one.........................but that is another story for another book.
