Default Whoo Hoo!! Got a lead on a couple of coyotes that a guy wants gone.

Old friend from high school contacted me via FB and asked if I'd be interested in busting a few coyotes that have made a home on his folks land (his folks know me well also). I of course said yes. I doubt the furs are worth a crap this time of year but still, it's a reason to get out and kill a couple of coyotes. They are a big nuisance to farmers with livestock around here and they are always glad to see them gone any time of year. I'll pair up with my cousin and his electronic call and see if we can leave Otoe County minus two yotes.

I'd join in but coyotes run like hell whenever they see me coming. I used to have an Artic-grade down parka with a ruff made of coyote fur. It was *so* cozy.

Little, old Navajo ladies are searching far and wide for .22lr ammo to shoot coyotes and feral dogs getting after their sheep and chickens. You could start a varmint hunting business here -- time to relocate?

Quite a few bear and mountain lions 12 miles outside of town according to one superbly reliable source (someone that spends all their weekends in the Cibola National Forest).

Best of luck and kind regards, B.

I'd give my left nut to go on a bear or mountain lion hunt, sadly they only take cash, and out of state permits are usually pretty pricey.

Not sure I'd want to hunt bear with my .270 WSM though, I think Alaska puts the minimum caliber for bears at .338.

Minimum caliber I'd take against bear would be .375 H&H.

I recall an interview with an old Eskimo; " When the polar bears come, we use the BIG gun" what is that? " A 30-30."

A 270 with 150s will kill any bear in N America if you do your part. That's why the outfitters want a 375 or 416 Rigby .
