    One of the 1911 forums I signed up for years ago was very 'old school' and cautious about letting newbs post. There was a bunch of introductory material about rude moderators and how the owner would take care of it. Odd place. I got accused of making stuff up at one point when I posted a picture of a mismatch between an aftermarket beavertail and a Colt gun. I guess the mod thought I Photoshopped the picture or something.

    There are so many gun forums you can pick and choose the culture you like. I like The Highroad okay, and M4 has a workable signal-to-noise ratio (or had...).

    I belong to the Smith & Wesson forum, Highroad, 1911 forum and a few smaller ones. The High road mostly because they've got a really active Mini 14 community.

    I joined Sigtalk even before I had my P225.... nice forum (a little like here), some tend to get a little hot under the collar sometimes, but it's a pretty interesting place to visit.
