Todays finished project.

Just finished this project today.
I bought a job lot of Military watches & cases last November, when I was studying the photos I got, amongst other things I could see a JLC case back & possibly the upper case, so while waiting for them all to arrive, witch through circumstances took a over a month,I took a chance that it was all there & bought a JLC movement dial & hands, not working, needing a balance staff, clutch wheel, stem, crown, setting/winding de rusting, case clamps, dial re luming (using old stock Radium), & a good clean/overhaul.
Luckily the complete case was there when I checked the job lot after it finally arrive.
Below is the result.
I managed to find amongst my bits & pieces a nice matching dull finish crown to suit the case..I am very pleased with the result.
Thanks to Omega53 for the movement dial & hands.
I am hoping to do the same with a Longines case that was with the lot too.
I am also looking for a IWC WWW case if any body has one to trade..

A nice spot amongst that lot, just looking at a photo. Not sure I can see the upper case, even knowing it is there.

I actually thought it was Record, but only because it came out of the box with Record spares in it, I hadn't thought it might be a Timor until I saw your post, so I went to have a look at the little bottle with 10 crowns with stems in with the Record spares, & found the stem left over from putting the crown on the JLC, I tried it in a Timor movement & YES it is a AS1203 stem so it must have belonged to one of the 3 Timors in the same job lot! so well spotted..:thumbsup:
Only problem is, when I get round to doing the 3 Timors, I only have 1 matching crown left!
BTW, I hadn't really had a close look at the stems & crowns until you mentioning it, but on close inspection, there are 9 Record & 1 Smiths W10 crown & stem! (witch happens to be for 1 that was part of this lot, so that will save me a bit of time looking for one!! ) mmm ... I think I will do that Smiths tomorrow.
