Okay, strictly speaking this is a pair of binoculars and not a watch so moderators if this post is too OT please feel free to remove it.
I am selling a pair of ex-Bundeswehr Zeiss binoculars which date from the late 1960s. These were made in Oberkockhen and are not to be confused with the far inferior model produced by Carl Zeiss Jena in the former DDR. This model which is remarkable compact is generally reckoned by binocular enthusiasts to be the best porro prism design 8x30 ever made.
If they were in pristine condition they would be worth many times what I'm asking. However there are big advantages in having a pair of "beater" field glasses that can live in the glove compartment and don't have to be cossetted. As you can see from the pictures this pair do look like they've been in the wars. However optically they are very good with no hazing or dust and a clear well-collimated image. Focussing is by individual eye piece and there is a rangefinder graticule in the right eye. They come as seen with a strap and neat leather rainguard. There's no case. I am looking for a quick sale hence I am asking £45 plus £5 postage in the UK (£8 overseas). Check with xe.com for the $ price. Paypal only please to my email address debrux@aol.com
Thanks for looking!
